A week and a half after Jime Leyland announced his retirement, the Detroit Tigers have introduced former catcher, Brad Ausmus as their new manager. Ausmus is mostly remember for his 8 seasons with the Houston Astros when he became a gold glove catcher, but he actually served two stints with the Tigers, the most recent during the 1999 and 2000 seasons. Ausmus last played in 2010 with the Dodgers and is only 44 years old, continuing the trend followed by many teams of hiring younger managers.
