FUN FACT: Yankee Stadium was actually visible from the Polo Grounds. Here's a photo from 1923, the first year for Yankee Stadium. Eventually the Polo Grounds would expand and add more seats to block the view of the House That Ruth Built, but fans never forgot how close both ballparks really were to each other.
