Hall of Fame Shortstop, Ozzie Smith has teamed up with Budweiser and officially petitioned the White House to declare Major League Baseball's Opening Day an official national holiday (as though it wasn't one already). This is not the first campaign of this nature, however this is the first time the movement has had backing from a hall of famer and a Fortune 500 company. The petition was launched this morning and already has 6,000 of the 100,000 it needs to move on to the President's desk. To read more about the movement and how to sign the petition, head over to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. http://bit.ly/1ljwCRz
