Tampa Bay Rays owner, Stuart Sternberg told the Tampa Bay Times that he believes the team has the resources to retain ace pitcher, David Price. But later in his comments, he states that due to low attendance the team payroll will most likely take a hit. The Rays have the 3rd lowest payroll in baseball at $60 million and will be the lowest in attendance (again) this year, even behind the hapless Miami Marlins. Even with all of this, they are on their way to the playoffs once again. How long will this success be sustainable with little, to no support from the Tampa community? Could a new stadium do the trick or will the Rays have to completely move out of Florida? Read Sternberg's comments over at the Tampa Bay Times. http://bit.ly/16nH9Cb
